Gameplay

How the game's systems work, from the game code. Each statement links to its source; estimates say so.

  1. How customers choose what to orderHow a customer picks a venue, then one in-stock item less than 30 points below the best one, and when a drink is added.
  2. Dish satisfaction and the price cliffThe 0 to 100 score each customer group gives a dish: value, rarity, price, local favorites, and what happens one coin above a group's budget.
  3. How review stars are calculatedThe review formula, the most each factor can add, the penalties, and how the average of recent reviews gates venue levels.
  4. PopularityHow the game computes a venue's popularity with each customer group: best item, review score, menu variety, level, comfort and the owner factor.
  5. Price caps by venue levelThe highest price you can set for a menu item at each venue level, and how it is calculated.
  6. Renting venues, business permits and the starting venueWhat it takes to rent a venue, the four business permits and where they come from, daily rent, and why the starting venue is different.
